The Birthers Are Our Version of the 9/11 Conspiracy Folks On the Left

Well to be honest I see some birthers also are 9/11 Conspiracy folks. In fact they often share some other conspiracy theories with the fringe left.

Anyway this fringe is what we sahll be tagged with and unlike the fringe on the left the media will make this out to be mainstream GOP and conservative.

Red Stick Rant has a great link on this I read at

Speaking Truth To Conspiracy

Even better is that conspiracy theorists will call you out giving you names like "Groupthink" and what not. No, its not that we follow the evidence where it leads and make no pretenses about trying to fill in gaps where evidence does not exist. Its that we buy the official line ... we are pawns etc.

Lack of evidence is not evidence but to the conspiracy theorist it always is and this failed logic is something that no sane person will ever be able to convince a conspiracy theorist is illogical.

Mark Shea calls it history for stupid people ... Ignorant might be a more charitable word. Maybe a little mean, but not too far off the mark.

The "birthers" are (almost?) entirely to be found just to the right of the lunatic fringe of the right wing (not very bright folks, either, since BHO acquired his US citizenship at birth, from his mother and the other guy, John McCain, was born in f'ing Panama, which it is written right there on his birth certificate).

The 9/11 folks tend to be either far right wingnuts (by which I mean their politics generally are way off the spectrum of the legitimate or plausible), or lefties.

The interesting thing is that you can and do find 9/11 conspiracy theorists who otherwise espouse quite reasonable policy positions.

I have always found this interesting.

That's what I find interesting.

We won the election and now these sore losers will continue to spew your hate with lies. The way our courts work is that you get a competent lawyer, verifiable facts and present them to a judge, if the facts are real and not half baked lies, then, and only then, you proceed to trial. The Birthers seem to be having a problem with their so called facts that they present. Let’s face it no one will go along with you until you guys win a case, but until then, you will continue to appear dumb, crazy or racist, or maybe all three. Keep plucking that chicken.

I should not have said, °reasonable°.

Some of their positions are reasonable, I suppose.

My point was that birthers on the right are generally beyond the pale, policy-wise, while birthers on the left will often hold policy positions left of center, but within the mainstram of left-leaning positions, generally.

I do not know what this tells us, but I find it interesting.

Oh, and Monatna: you're barking up the wrong tree. No one on this thread is a birther.
