D.C. Gay Marraige Bill Signed in A Unitarian Church

I just saw that in a segment on FOX NEWS. Isn't that kinda of odd.

I mean what if a city passed THE DEFENSE OF MARRIAGE AND MORALITY ACT and the mayor , city council, and supporters all went down to sign this piece of legislation at the local Catholic Cathedral. I can't even imagine the outrage. There would be huge stories and pontifications about the separation of Church and State.

I'm a member of a Unitarian Universalist congregation, and I totally agree. While I support gay civil marriage, having this in a religious building just confuses the issue.

Thanks for posting.

Yeha I just found it odd I suppose. WHile I know a good many Unitarians support ths legisltion they also seem to be the type that are real advocates of Sep of Chruch and State and the appearance of such.

I think it is all legal and such but just was not expecting it there in that venue
