Prominent Louisiana Catholic Law Prof Takes On Case of Priest Heretic Facing Excommunication

Goodness gracious. I am tad conflicted on this because representation is everyone right even in Church Courts. I have no idea what Mr Bill Quigley, a New Orleans lawyer who represents Father .Bourgeois thinks on the issue of Woman Ordianation.

However it again is sort of depressing to see leading advocates of Catholic Social Justice ( Which I might agree or disagree with on various issues but is a valid tradition) involved in this and against the constant tradition of the Church. One reason why many Catholics take a pass on many Catholic Social Justice groups is because they are filled many times with people that are wild dissenters from the teaching of the Apostles. I note that I am noticing that many younger Catholics in for instance the Catholic Worker Movement are more Orthodox. However their numbers I do not know.

Here is Bill Quigley's bio

Father Z has the story here at NCRep on the imminent excommunication of heretic Fr. Bourgeois

Again he is a Lawyer and everyone has a right to representation . However I will be watching one of Loyola's premier Law Profs closely
