I must say after all these years as a Catholic I have never got the concept of a Catholic Hospital. Do they take in the poor and give assistance? As a Roman Catholic it would be great to have sort of a Roman Catholic Insurance plan via Catholic Hospitals but that does not exist it seems.
I rarely see Doctors and Nurses at Catholic Hospitals in my community in the forefront of the serious ethical medical issues we face.
However they do exist and the Bishops are giving the warnings to the future Obama administration.
