Glen Beck Goes Off the Deep End (Talks Coughlin and Social Justice)

I mentioned here about the Wallis boycott of Beck. I have a problem with that because just earlier in the day there was all this talk about debate and such and just hours laters now a boycott announcement. It all seems sort of dishonest.

That being said Beck has gone off the deep end as to his wailing against "Social Justice" tonight. He basically tonight tired to portray Social Justice as facist (linked to the Nazis) by highlighting the controversial Father Coughlin . Therefore since Coughlin talked about "social justice" it is bad and dangerous.

Now this is all pretty silly. I can point to anti communists that were huge segregation now segregation forever folks. Does that make all people that were anti communist bad because some were racist?

It was also not noted on the Beck show that Vatican and Apostolic delegate to the USA wanted Coughlin silienced but because of his popularity and fears of schism decided to wait it out.

So it appears that Rome (that knows something about Catholic Social Justice) had some major problems with what he was saying.

I am not sure Beck realizes how clueless he is on a complex topic as this. Is Pope Benedict a Facist? Was the latest Papal document a "danger to America"? Well that is social justice.



I suspect there will be quite a response to Beck tomorrow a lot Catholics tomorrow.
