Think if Kennedy or LBJ took that viewpoint. Heck LBJ had a war on in Vietnam, a war on poverty, having to deal with racial relations, and riots ,and intergration ,and the Civil Rights act, having to contain the commies, a sexual Revolution occuring , hippes, a new drug culture and yet yet we found we could fund SpaceExploration. BY the way Don't forget folks...delaying the Constellation program 5 years has an impact on Michoud Facility in New Orleans. That place is slated to manufacture some of the Orion/Ares parts/rocket bodies. Five years would be an economic impact for layoffs that may come as a result.

Oh and if you are in BAMA where much of this will be built oh well. Perhaps Obama is hopin gthis fact is occuring in "red"states will mute the impact
