Let me say I enjoy the traditional favorites and my Fourth of July complete without hearing them. However what did people of that era sing as relating to ehe events of the day!! You know the songs in the streets , in the taverns, in the homes.
Pro Eccelsia spent some time on a list and various CD's that I intend to check out. GO see Music Recommendations: Some Alternative (Revolutionary?) Sounds for the 4th of July that has a ton of traditional Revolutionary-era folk melodies including favorites of ours that are in more of their traditional form
