I actually don't have a ton of gripes about this piece New York Catholic leader’s views way over the line, and out of step by Susan Brooks Thistlethwaite who is a Prof for the poor souls at Chicago Theological Seminary .
Why no gripes? Because It was a poor response to the Bishop of Brooklyn that was in the Post last week.
It's well just idiotic from a legal and theological point of view. Is The 1st amendment really threatened because the Church is going to refuse to get some politicos a platform or give them honors for a while?
Two non Catholics really expose this piece which in reality is not hard work.
