Get Religion has Ghosts of gay-bashing
Now I want to point out as the Get Religion piece points these guys could be Christian. In fact maybe these cousins have no faith at all. So I think there should be caution here among some quarters in assuming things. It would seem someone would get to the bottom of this. However I think any smart reporter knows what the reader would be thinking perhaps so why not clear it up?
On the flip side of course, and what is the main part of the post, is the possible double standard here that relates to ethnic background and religion.

The article didn't say what age the boys were either. That could be a factor. If these are 13-14 year olds, they're just being stupid. I don't think anything can be made out of the fact that they are Muslim.

I think I saw in another place they were in their 20's I think.
I agree with you that the fact they are Muslim should not be held against a coummunity. However I do think there is a sort of double standard here if they are or even on the ethnic angle which is interesting
