Mickey Kaus is Way Too Nice to Make A Difference

I saw this at Instapundit:

AN INTERVIEW WITH California Senate candidate Mickey Kaus. “I don’t have any particular beef with Barbara Boxer. My beef is with the official Democratic doctrine that anybody who reaches Boxer’s position has to spout and has to endorse. She’s sort of a state of the art Democratic senator and that’s a problem. The state of the art Democratic party has some positions that depart from common sense and also undermine, in practice, the ideals that the party stands for.”

If you think that Barbara Boxer is taking a wrong position for just pure politics and that is a threat to the Republic then YOU HAVE A BEEF with Boxer. If you think she is sacrificing her best judgement for political gain then you have a beef with BOXER

I like Mickey a lot even though I am a GOP guy that likes immigration reform and he is a DEM that hates it. YET are not McCain and Graham more honest than BOXER? At least they will fight within their own party what they think is right. That is something to salute. Yet we don't get that from BOXER.

Kaus if you want to make a difference be who you are and don't surrender the field before you take it

Kaus you might disagree with Lindsey and MCain on issues but if you wish to shake up the boat in the DEM party at least have the balls to act with their attitude. They are not scared to get it out in the open.

So yes you have a problem with BOXER. If not why are you running.

Hint if you think Boxer is wrong and there should be a change you don't start out by giving her cover and absolving her views away.

You might not win but if want to influence people's view don't act like you have to be sorry you are running against the incumbent. You can make up after the primary. This attitude will just get on Orange County Public access channel 28.
