William Eunice said...: Dennis Kucinich has also gotten liberal religion about the public option and has indicated he is a no vote on the current plan proposed by Obama. He then proceeds to slam the existing plans for many of the reasons conservatives are slamming it. The goal shouldn't be to pass something that makes Obama look like something got done. If they are going to pass something it should at least pass the muster of common sense. I think it is going to take a miracle for Democrats to get this through ... but that is just me. They would be MUCH better served to scrap the whole thing, focus on hiring incentives, jobs etc. and THEN in about a years time focus on a modest set of reform. I am personally staring at an increase of 41% on my health insurance premiums. For the first time in my life I am considering going uninsured (and I don't qualify for CHIP for my kids) .... Of course I want something done, but not something that forces me to continue paying high premiums or else ....; March 9, 2010 at 3:12 PM
