Those words brought tears to my eyes.
Thanks for pointing me to this story. It was a good lesson in not only how the local priest acted at a time of true need, but, sadly, how the archbishop, steeped in the teachings of Christ, could not shake the chains of his upbringing and surrounding society when he was needed.
Humbling, because I fear that the latter is still a prevalent mindset for many.
