Can New York Episcopal Church Eviction and Muslim Sale Be Defended?

I talked about this scandal late last week.

Today I noted a Baton Rouge Baptist Minister chimes in with a good post . See Why the Episcopal Church obsession over property?.

A good post with also links that will get you up to speed if you are not familiar with this.

Lets look at this in a different way. In fact perhaps how a Catholic Bishop might look at it. That is the Bishop of the Diocese is CORRECT to do this. I don't believe this by the way and I explain why I think this falls apart below. However lets assume this is the Bishop's position.

The Bishop views that :

(1)The Episcopal Church is correct in that same sex marriage and active gay partnered Bishops are a part of the preaching of the Gospel.

(2)That those who oppose the TEC in this "Gospel" position are committing a EVIL and must be opposed

(3) The Poor Episcopalians who were just evicted not only believed in this evil mentioned in point 1 and point 2 but represent a DANGEROUS SCHISMATIC movement that will sow confusion among good Episcopalians and MUST BE OPPOSED.

(4) In fact their mere presence and their false teaching represents such a threat to the Body of Christ, i t is better to evict said Anglicans and sell the building to Muslims .Even though in fact new Muslim congregation agrees with now evicted Anglicans on issues of same sex relationships.

Now I can see this argument if made has merit. In fact in some ways I think this is what is REALLY in the mind of the Diocese up there. If I was a Catholic Bishop I rather might even sell to some Anti Catholic minister than some schismatic Catholic Church group that I see as the long term bigger danger

They are afraid of the completion to put it more secular terms.

These arguments fall apart because

(1) The Episcopal Church USA is already in Communion and wants to stay in Communion with the world wide Anglican Communion. Of which elements think what the TEC is teaching is from the anti Christ

(2) It is apparent that there will be some alternative jurisdiction for Anglicans that want to remain Anglican in the USA and to be in Communion with the Anglican world but don't want to be part of the TEC USA.

Thus the logic that I think is really at stake here is false and does not meet current Anglican norms or what the future will look like. It is just a vindictive move period.
