As I mentioned I am not a big fan at all of Altar girls for the regular reasons that are talked about and the ones I hit in the above post. However there are some things it is not worth fighting battles over in a particular parish. Also there is the need for some Pastoral Sensitivity if this is long time practice in your parish.
