The whole Anglican Church ordaining Female Bishop thing has opened this can of worm again.
In a perfect world Catholic Priests and Deacons would be aware that is this issue is again getting print in the secular media and Catholics are being asked questions and thus they might devote 10 minutes of a homily to the subject. However as to most times when Catholic Doctrine is a issue in the public and popular culture it often never dawns on many of Pastors to give a quick overview of teaching "x". Despite the fact that Catholics are being asked about it by their non Catholic friends, family and co workers.
Sadly from what I see on the net and in my case Happy Hour at my local Mexican Restaurant where this topic came up the worst Catholic educated Laity in American History is giving a sub par performance.

Perhaps if not a depressing number of Catholics realized that their Priest has functions and roles than the average Baptist Minister does or even claims for himself then perhaps we would have progress.
