6. However there will be no question of married lay former Anglicans becoming priests, since this would effectively abolish the rule of celibacy in the Western Church
The current pastoral provision allows Anglican priests converting to retain their wives. That said, it has no bearing on the practice in the western Church. Thus, 6. above is unlikely to happen without a separate rite.
I do agree the demand is too low for that though ....
This is not going to happen in the droves people think. Its going to happen as it has happened in the past ... one convert at a time.
