Louisiana Catholic Blog Update for July 1st 2009

It is a short one today.

From The Recamier has her update here at Daily Update: June 29, 2008. (It was delayed a tad by bad weather).
She talks on Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles (died 64) whom we honored on Sunday / She has the usual fun stuff of what happen on this date, who died on this date including Lana Turner who died on the 29th in 1995

Catholic Tube has vids for us to watch. Go see His Last Words which is Bishop Fulton Sheen last Good Friday homily, recorded in 1979 at St Agnes church, New York.

Catholic Underground, the Louisiana Catholic new media podcast to the world, has a very good show.
GO see CU Episode 80: Maybe We Overdid it With the Eighty. where the description is "This week, some chat about the Catholic New Media Celebration, some news on CatholiCon ‘09 (that’s right!), the year of St. Paul, our picks of the week, Pallia old and new, Conservative Anglicans, Schismatic Catholics a plenty, Burke’s new zuchetto color, and we continue to answer some RCIA FAQs. Whew!" . I am anxious to listen to this. There "shownotes" or links to what they are talking about is located here at Episode 80 Shownotes

Anthony , Holly, and Elijah in Missions , who are our Abbeville, LA based Missionaries in Grenada have big news. GO see Mission Reassignment

The Louisiana Brown Pelican Society( lay Louisiana Catholic organization) as usual has huge update on news Catholics as well as all Christians should be of. Make it your first stop.

Full Circle has Summorum Pontificum bears fruit . He also has Judge rules autistic teen can be barred from church .

Thoughts & Ruminations from Fr. Ryan has Louisiana passes first anti-evolution "academic freedom" law. Oh and here is Eddie Murphey's big head lol (scroll down)

Fr. Victor Brown’s Catholic Daily Message has his message at CDM for Comm. of Blessed Junipero Serra (1 July 2008) He does not always talks about the Feast Day but today he does. This is a very important American Saint and he gives a overview. What a way to start out countdown to the 4th

You might want to consider adding Baby Cate's blog to the list of LA Catholic Bloggers. From their last post it appears they will continue the blog.
