We live in a strange world where just weeks ago the Speaker of the House said:
"Well, the purpose of the surge was to provide a secure space, a time for the political change to occur to accomplish the reconciliation. That didn’t happen. Whatever the military success, and progress that may have been made, the surge didn’t accomplish its goal. And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians-they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities-the Iranians."
This statement is breathtaking and for a person that no doubt get detailed intelligence briefings horribly dishonest. It was this day I realized that Nancy Pelosi was truly a dangerous person.
We live in a strange world where blogs and the media make out Bush to be the war monger against poor ole Iran. We live in a world where we can not publicly talk about Iran being in Iraq and causing death to our Iraqi Allies and to Americans. To say such a thing you are accused of being a fear monger. We live in a world where the fact that Iraqi troops are kicking Iran out of Iraq as we speak is not to be mentioned as well as other incredible success. We live in a world where the transition of Iraqi views toward American as occupiers to a friendly tribe cannot be spoken.
We Live in a world where Shiite TV Stations can say things that we cannot here.
Iraqi Shiite TV network runs PSA blaming Iran for violence.
