Guitar-strumming grandparents, who are still boring everyone senseless reminiscing about Vatican II

I have a good laugh over that part of Damian Thompson article Telling lies to Anglo-Catholics that is in the London Telegraph. Damion is talking about certain lies that segments of the liberal Catholic Establishment are saying to Anglo Catholics. The full paragraph stated:

It's true that the tiny proportion of Catholics who take their line from the Bishops' Conference bureaucracy and its house journal, the Tablet, feel this way. "Rome" doesn't, and nor do young Catholics, who are more conservative than their guitar-strumming grandparents, who are still boring everyone senseless reminiscing about Vatican II. The "new doctrinal orthodoxy" that terrifies the Sandalistas is taught by Pope Benedict and resonates loudly with more and more traditionalist Anglicans. It's called Catholicism.

I converted when the boring senseless reminiscing was a Hurricane force. In fact it the Winds of the so called Spirit of Vatican II were increasing in strength because this bothersome Polish guy in Rome was seen as such a threat.

The problem was that many people such as myself actually starting reading the documents of Vatican II and the just as important the Church Documents that came after that were to implement the vision of the Council. Before all these wonderful thing online they were not exactly available to many Catholic. That is when I discovered the wonder Daughters of St Paul Book store in New Orleans. The French Quarter, the college Bars in uptown and the Daughters of St Paul bookstore that had all these wonderful documents for sale were crucial stops on my trips t New Orleans

We noticed a important fact. That much of the so called "Spirit of Vatican II" was violating the very documents of Vatican II.
When this was brought up to the usual suspect we of course were met with scorn.
We recognized of course that Pope Benedict and John Paul the II were the legitimate products of Vatican II and the Spirit of Vatican II. We also learned that Vatican II did not wipe out 2000 years of what came before.
So we are not anti Vatican II we embrace it!!! We are finally seeing the true fruits come . of that Council
