The Catholic Case for Immigration Reform (Thank You American Spectator)

Tip of the Hat to the Brown Pelican

Yesterday I sort of made a plea as to issue. See Will The National Review Get Someone to Balance Mark Krikorian .

I am gald to see the very Conservative American Spetator has given some space for this viewpoint. See The Catholic Case for Immigration Reform

Before I get into this article a few truths. First this is an emotional and complicated issue. There are people of good will on all sides. Incldung those that oppose my viewpoint.

Ok got that out of the way.

Second, I know this irks some folks but Republicans and conservatives are a tad more divided on this issue than some would like you to believe. The Tancredo approach is not the only genuine conservative or GOP view. I can take you through a ton of exit polling done in the various states in the GOP primaries where this question was asked and show that.

SO just yelling RINO CINO or whatever is not productive.

Sadly looking at the comment section of the American Specator this conversation we need to have is not getting off to a great start.

So here is to hopping we can all do better.
