The Down Side To A 83 year Old Pope (Time is Running Out)

Pope Benedict has one of the toughest jobs in the world when most people his age are spending their time watching the TV and complaining they need Great Grand children. May he live a long time. Still he is 83 and though I have no doubt the Lord is with him time is going to start running out. Any hints that Pope Benedict's health is failing and the Vatican will go into slow crawl mode. The Pope might issue directives but their implantation will go at a snails pace!!!

Damion Thompson sort of explores this topic at Benedict XVI after five years: time is running out for a great reforming Pope

So I think Lay People and clerics that are in full agreement with the Benedict vision must help hurry things along.

So what are those things that must be implemented and in place fully when Benedict goes to his reward.
(1) The reform of the reform of the Liturgy. This is huge. The laity can help on this at the parish level

(2) The Anglican Catholic Ordinate must be up and running and FUNCTIONAL. The laity can help by being welcoming and realizing that we are going to need to get out the pocketbook for them till they can get on their feet.

(3) What to do with the Legionaries of Christ and Their Lay Arm ( a huge pastoral issue) must have been resolved fully and these folks well on to full integration in whatever new structure shall be

(4) Whatever norms as to the sexual abuse problem needs to have been implemented(This takes lay involvement)

(5) The Media upgrade of the Holy See needs to be well on it's way (Catholic Groups such as the Knights , etc, can help fund this)

(6) Needless to say there should not be needless delays on appointments of Bishops and Cardinals (well not much lay folks can do here)

(7) The Immigration issue (The Global Issue of migration from the South to the North) needs to have a Catholic stamp on it).
