Senator David Vitter Has Had A Great Week

It is never good news when for a politico when there is major bad news at a important plant in his district or State.

However here comes Obama to the rescue. I suspect the RNC and/or the Vitter Campaign is already having ads on the drawing board talking about that.

Further reliable people have told me that his likely Democrat opponent , Rep Melancon, had downright miserable attendance in 3 crucial North Louisiana cities as he kicked off his campaign up here. That is good on two fronts. It shows that Melancon might have to start worrying already about critical staff changes if they can't even get the Dem faithful out. Also I suspect any GOP person thinking of jumping in will have second thoughts since the anti Vitter feeling seems to be much lower than assumed by some.

Then we have Massachusetts that has the GOP so hyped that the GOP faithful are doing phone banks in Baton Rouge. If there is a win tonight expect RNC fundraising to take a another major bump and the DEMS wondering if they should really invest major bucks in Louisiana when people like Reid and others are in trouble.
