Episcopal Church Says Abortion Must Be In Health Care Bill

At least so says the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice which the TEC is a part of sadly. Please note the Episcopal Church is the only Church to be affiliated with this group as a body that has the crazies such as "Catholics" for a Free Choice( See comment section in link below for a discussion about them). MCJ has SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE

How did this happen. I think even pro-choice leaning Catholics would not like to have their Church actually promote abortion. In fact I suspect even mqny pro-choice Episcopals are not thrilled about this.

Part of it was good people were taken advantage of in a huge way. On the whole I find Episcopalians that are active in their Church to be some of the most prayerful and good people. There belief and pride in a good educated clergy might have been part of the demise. Twenty years ago certain trends advocated might have sound weird but heck he went to Sewanee so what do I know was perhaps the response from the person in the pews. As usual the excessive belief in experts is sometimes fatal in both education and the Church. Catholics have seen that when people return with degrees in "Liturgical Studies" from places like Notre Dame.

The liberals also won because of their opponents. First they bought the whole lets dialogue thing!!! One discovers though that the dialogue that was demanded had ended by liberal fiat since they are now in full control. See Bishop Spong's recent comments. Second their opponents had a maddening habit of not being organized. Their are so many Anglican reform groups it makes your head spin. It appears that they never could for whatever reason put aside differences and act a one voice before it was too late.
