Democrats Silly Plan to Help Henry "Negro Dialect" Reid

Democrats are preparing to throw the race card back in the laps of Republicans as part of a counterattack designed to help save Harry Reid’s political career. First, Reid’s allies plan to distribute the NAACP vote ratings of Republican senators who have scolded him. The data will be made available to editorial boards, cable programs and the blogosphere — including votes on minimum wage, community-oriented policing, education funding and HIV/AIDS programs.

Hmm is this really a good idea. I thought the Dems were the hip with it party. They must know if they do anything at all it is to have Reid do a funny self depreciating appearance on Saturday Night Live. That is the quickest way for American political absolution. Americans are quick to forgive when a politico makes fun of himself.

Does this not keep the story alive? Right now I think Republicans and conservatives are having just a bit of fun and some justifiable venting over this. By the end of the week the American public and the American Politic will have moved on to something else. Well maybe not if Dems want to keep the topic alive.
