Attention Michael Winters- Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good Is Not An Non Partisan Organization

I have no idea why he keeps saying this. It is deceptive. He did it in this America Piece Catholics in Alliance v. Catholics for Choice and he did it again to largely a UK Catholic audience at the Tablet here in their new edition.

Promote the organization if you will but please do not call it non partisan.

As Mirrors of Justice so well pointed out as of their "non partisan" mailers:
help put an end to the partisanship and acrimony that have prevented progress on the important issues of our day." "Catholics United" tells us the book is important because the "far right" is busy advancing its "narrow partisan agenda." The book, we are told, serves as an "effective counterbalance to the far right's own plans to advance an anti-common good agenda." Hmm! Beyond partisanship and acrimony?.

E.J. Dionne, Jr. noted liberal Catholic and journalist was quite blunt in this piece

After Bush's reelection, new organizations such as Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good were formed to battle Karl Rove and the GOP for the hearts of the faithful. Smart religious consultants began advising Democrats on how not to leave so many religious votes on the table.

Non Partisan?

See my past post
Is The Catholic In Alliance for the Common Good a New Kind of Catholic Politics?

GO SEE this informative post at Mirrors of Justice Obama? McCain? What's a Catholic to Do?

Go see Pro-Eccelsia's post Convention for the "Common Good"

Again if Catholic leaning Democrats wish to laud this group and promote it fine. But please stop misleading that this is some non partisan group.
