A Nice Football Night LSU Wins and..........

We shall get to the LSU victory in a sec

Louisiana Tech won against Nicholls- Geaux Dawgs

Grambling won

Oh and for us ANTI-College Playoff people BYU and Utah went down which was nice.

Notre Dame won That is sort of nice but time for them to lose one

OH and USC LOST - Guess Washington is not so bad and that makes that LSU victory sweeter

It appears Auburn will hang on to win - Go SEC

Florida does not look so indestructible now with their closer than expected win

Texas won-booooooo

And

LSU won- Yes I am sure some are not happy it was not like 50 to 0 but again this is our not Grandfathers ULL (USL). I think this is one of the best ULL teams I have seen in over a decade if not more.

With this win we see things that LSU improved on and then to our dismay see more things we need to improve. Now we go into a three road Conference stretch. I fell good against Miss State but yes they are improved. They won a tough one against Vandy tonight

In the end does it seem that there are very few teams just playing perfectly this year. I least that is the impression I am getting. It is shaping up to be an odd but exciting year.

I was at the game (if you catch any highlights or anything, I'm one of the crazy fans in the South Endzone ;) ) and quite frankly, LSU does not have very much to be proud of from that performance, and I am quite proud of my Cajuns for their performance (especially of our defense which went over and beyond my expectations ... though the offense left a little to be desired). The score (31-3) does not reflect the game very well at all. Cajuns were cheated out of a safety (I mean come on ... everyone went down into the endzone ... before the ball was called dead ...) and therefore the drive to follow and if UL hadn't made 2 stupid plays (which I shall call our 2 interceptions) the score would have been much closer (although I freely concede that LSU would have won either way). Bad coaching on both sides of the ball as well. My friend and I were practically screaming at Bustle at the end of both halves to call for timeouts and Les Miles made a couple of bad calls. Still, not a bad game played on either side, and as I've said I'm quite proud of my Cajuns' performance and think that that will be more than enough for us during Conference play ... on to Nebraska...

I agree on the safety. I think LSU has some postives out of this game. Again I this was about the score I was expecting except I gave ULL 10 instead of three. SO close!!!

I do think on purpose we are not showing too much of the play book. I think Shep will be used a lot more

JOrdan Jefferson is going through a lot of growing pains. I figured he would . I mean lets faces ULL should have got at least 3 interceptions if not three.

Jefferson appears to me to be just delaying too much on throwing the ball which is causing problems

There were signs o brilliance of LSU followed by nothing for long periods.

THe Miss State game should give a more accurate feel

But I agree ULL played great and I expected them too. ULL is going to be in contention for the Sunbelt

One of the more interesting games will be the ULL and ULM game this year. I think that will go down to the wire and might decide the Conference

Joe and James,

What kind of chance do you give the Cajuns against Nebraska?

The Cornhuskers put down Fla Atlantic and Ark State. They've got a pretty good RB.

I didn't get a chance to see the LSU-USL game last night, so I'm not sure how the Cajuns look.

But, I'd like to think they'll do well.

LSU seems to do well during these odd kind of seasons. Maybe this is our year!?

yes, LSU certainly had some great plays, but the fact that they had to do some creative playmaking to score is something that I think speaks for our defense.

I also agree that our defense missed out BIG TIME on those interceptions that Jefferson practically gave to us (if he plays that way against Florida, I don't give LSU good odds ... but hopefully they won't ... oh yeah, I'm back to an LSU fan + UL fan now that the game's over ;) )

As for the Nebraska game, I'm not too sure. On the one hand, I think Nebraska is higher quality than KSU, but not as high caliber as LSU. I'd give em a chance to come close, but (truth be told --- though if anyone asks you, I didn't say this) I don't think we'll win. Still --- my team through thick and thin!

GEAUX CAJUNS! ALLONS! ALLONS! ALLONS, CAJUNS!

Joe,

Yeah, I think I'll have to pick Nebraska, too.

But, boy, it'd be great if the Cajuns could pull out the upset.

As for LSU -- now, I'm a great LSU fan -- but I just don't have any confidence in the team yet.

LSU had better get its act together next week against Miss. St. I think that the Bulldogs will surprise LSU, and catch them looking ahead a little. (But, in the end, I think LSU will win next week.)

I think ULL might have chance against Nebraska.

The problem for ULL is that Nebraska will be smarting form their loss. It would have been better if Nebraska had won
