This seems to be the depressing theme lately.
I wanted to wait about a day before commenting on the President's big speech. I was sort of shocked that there were not any game changers in it. I also was very taken aback how partisan it was. Does Obama really need to reassure the left? He needs to be convincing the great American people in the middle that have some major problems with all this. His problems is not Republicans it is them. So I thought the partisan tone was a tad strange and counterproductive.
Other than that still pretty vague.
Still the lying meme is getting tiresome as it pointed out here at After a Night's Sleep, That Speech Looks Terrible
On abortion despite what the ,President is saying and also his supporters, I don't think Cardinal Justin Rigali lying.? Also it appears these 39 House Pro Life Democrats that think they have the votes to block the vote on the Health Care bill don't think they are misleading either.
What is not being examined and is key to many of these worries is the infamous IMAC panel that is being proposed.
We have seen this before as well as the media unwilling to point out simple concepts. For instance no one calls out Obama when he says he is not for gay marriage. The problem is he wants to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act which prevents gay marriage to become a fact via the Full Faith and Credit Clause nationwide.
Update- GET RELGION that exmanines religious reporting has a must read related piece. See All eye s on pro-life left and middle
