How in the heck did our second collection ever help fund this nutty organization?.
What is truly embarrassing that ACORN is headquartered in New Orleans. Did the Archdiocese of New Orleans ever pick up on the nonsense that was going on.
At least it appears they will recieve no more funding. But the question what else are we funding?

What else are we funding? Plenty! The Catholic Campaign for Human Development spends about 16% of the collection on community organizing through the Industrial Areas Foundation, the group started by Saul Alinsky. The groups operate under different names. In the diocese of Arlington, two diocesan priests were instrumental in founding VOICE (Virginians Organized for Interfaith Community Engagement, an IAF affiliate. Parishes have already funnelled over $100,000 into IAF as "dues." (And that doesn't even consider the CCHD collection.)
VOICE works to get more government programs for housing, free dental service, etc. They could have used that money to start a free clinic, but hey getting the government to do everything is what these socialists want. As for abortion, the group booed when it was brought up at one of the organizing meetings.
CCHD also funds Gamaliel Foundation (about 4% of the collection), PICO, DART, and a host of others.
People need to boycott this collection until there's a complete overhaul! It's taken up in November.
