Catholics Come Home Commercials Are Working- Lets Do More!!

I really think there should be a concerted nationwide effort on this. Heck do a second collection and lets starting doing this everywhere so it is not just hit or miss. The Deacon Bench has a great post(With some sample vids) at Catholics are coming home

This strikes me as something we could really partner with the Knights of Columbus on. Have they been approached?

Within the post there are some depressing facts that show the state of the post Vatican II Church. No I am not bashing Vatican II but the misguided implementation of the so call Spirit of Vatican II. For example

Only about one-quarter of U.S. Catholics say they attend Mass every week, and a majority go to religious services a few times a year or less, according to the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate at Georgetown University, which conducts social science research about the Catholic church.Researchers there also found that two-thirds of Catholics believe they can be good members of their faith without attending Mass regularly.Inactive Catholics cite a number of reasons for their absence. Many do not believe that missing Mass is a sin, the center reported. Others say they are too busy with family or work, or, as other analysts point out, are more interested in material happiness than spiritual ...........

Good grief no wonder we have a Vocation crisis and other problems. How we went from the highest in Church attendance to something that is about the average in just decades is depressing. This needs to be reversed. I am no perfect Catholic. I have missed Mass many times. However when I do that I don't just bee bop to the head of the communion line and compound my sin without first going to confession.

Are these the kind of people we want to invite back into the church when so many who attend regularly are already so weak in the faith?

Maybe we should clean out the apostasy in the pews and among the vocations and start from a base of true faith before we take more vipers to our bosom. The Pope seems light in his little red loafers to me. I miss Jon Paul II.

YES!!!
We want to rid the Church of apostasy not apostates -- them, we want to convert.
