The Saga of the New American Bible Continues Sadly

If you are outside the United States you might not be aware that we Catholics have to endure some pretty bad biblical translations for readings at Mass.

That is the New American Bible that is the official Catholic Bible in the United States. Thankfully, I don't think this has been exported. The problem becomes worse because this is the Bible that is often marketed toward American Catholics. Why this is really bad is because of the footnotes which are really a scandal. Further overall they are also in my view not very helpful compared to Protestant Bibles. Of course we have choices here and there are other Catholic Bibles.
