I am sort of skeptical on these " this election will change everything " moments , but I have to think a Walker victory in Wisconsin is would hit Unions ( esp public sectors ) natiowide. It's pretty high stakes. They could recover but no doubt to a certain extent dynamics would be changed for a while.

I do wonder that IF this occurs will unions have to expand their base a tad. More to the point will Unions have to decide endorsing some position that are quite liberal and having to dolittle with workers is a losing game. For instance lets say on abortion and other matters in some places.
