In Shocking Move Presbyterian Church Votes Down Gay Marriage For Now

I say shocking because it was viewed that the same sex marriage advocates had the votes to pass it. It appears there was a massive shift in the last moments which defeated it.

Get Religion has an overview here at Seeking real, live Presbyterians!

This reformed Pastor blog is a must read on how this went down at PCUSA Full Assembly 4: Same-Sex Marriage Goes Down (UPDATED)

It would be interesting to see if there was a Catholic rep at the meeting. It appears the Orthodox had one. See Axios!

Have you ever noticed the utter dishonesty of the people who run the "Get Religion" blog. They bring up these controversial topics every day, and as long as the comments are in agreement with their sly underhanded subtle advocacy of one side of the controversy, they have no complaint. But if a reader makes a comment, and a good point, that shows a different side of the controversy than theirs, then they say their blog is not a forum for political discussion, but is just for discussion of journalism. If it is a really good point, they delete it.
