New Argument For Female Priests- Jesus Died Too Soon

There is a quite a bit of controversy up in the area because the Archbishop of Cincinnati basically cracked down on a Sister that is promoting heresy. This has now exploded further as a Catholic CCD teacher has got into the fray. For people that have been in power and promoting this stuff the reaction was Swift.

In this letter to the paper we see the product of the Spirit of Vatican II Catholic education

“Jesus chose the apostles, he chose men not women.” As a believer in Jesus Christ, I choose to believe that had he more time, Jesus would have eventually seen the light and taken full advantage of the brillance, endurance and patience of women, thus entrusting them as apostles .......

Ok we will just stop there. For the full letter see Ten Reason's post "Jesus ran out of time"

Apparently this Sister and CCD teacher have forgotten what the Bible said in Matthew 16:23 when Jesus rebuked Peter.

Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

Do they forget that Jesus dying when He did was God's plan? Does she forget that Jesus wasn't some dumb bumpkin who only had knowledge of earthly things or was just "learning" about humanity when He got here?

Sheesh...that nun needs to go back to take a few more theology courses...and she can take the CCD teacher with her.

You know this is horrible but at least the blessing is these folks are almost in the retirement home. How much damage they have caused out of their arrogance

I will write more after class. But it is something that my aunt brought up to me yesterday.

So I found out that my grandmother and aunt (who both worked for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati) supports womens ordination.

The sad thing is, whatever arguement you make, they have one to fire back. And most of the time their arguement makes no sense.

Now as a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, I will say it is sad that it hasn't been addressed here in the seminary. Everyone here agrees that only men should be ordained, but we still should discuss it and find ways of defending it. Maybe I will ask the Archbishop on Saturday (since he has invited me to an orchestra), but then again he is probably sick of hearing about it.

Well the arguments are out there. Sadly I think this partly because many Catholics don't understand the concept of Priesthood like they used too
