Association of American Law Schools Considers Hotel Conference Boycott over Devout Catholic Owner's Political Contribution

Update- The The Volokh Conspiracy that actually has a few posters that agree with Gay marriage on the whole think this is a horrible idea. That is a relief . See Boycott of AALS Meeting in San Diego: , The AALS and Political Boycotts, An Open Letter to Carl Monk: and The AALS Boycott:

This is disturbing for the reason the Catholic Legal scholars give. This is all because the hotel owner, a Catholic, gave money to a organization that is fighting gay marraige in California. Please note he has gay employees and there is not evidence his hotel discriminates against gay or bisexual people.

The Catholic Legal Theory blog Mirrors of Justice has had a very good discussion on this.

This is a group representing having and representing thousands of legal educators.

This is the web page of the AALS

Sadly their members is huge , and include not only the main LAW school from my home state but most Catholic ones.
