Piers Morgan Treatment of Ryan T. Anderson In Same Sex Marriage Debate Still Causing Waves

Piers Morgan caused a lot of controversy in his treatment of Ryan Anderson on a show dealing with Same Sex Marriage. It was duly noted by a good many blogs and sites I visited

Get Religion looks at this as a larger trend and what it might mean.

Well, of course, those who are against homosexuals are akin to white supremacists. The hate-mongers always use the Bible to try to justify their hatred and bigotry. I remember in the 1960s, that NW Louisiana was full of preachers ranting from their pulpits, that the biblical book of Philemon, in particular, proves that the N-words should have never been set free from slavery in the first place. They said that we had the N-words under control, if those white Northern yankee trouble makers had not come down here getting the N-words stirred up.

And, of course, the hatred and bigotry against those of us who are homosexual, a personality trait which we did not choose and cannot change, is just as morally indefensible as white supremacy. The tide has now turned after a 2000 year history of the Catholic church in particular being the world's greatest leader in the hatred, persecution, and killer of homosexuals. Who would want to sit on a stage and debate such an issue as those the hate-monger position had any sort of credibility? For most of us, it was obvious that we had this personality characteristic by the time we were five years old. We have already had a lifetime of hatred, ridicule, persecution, bullying, being locked in so-called "hospitals", being beaten, threatened with murder, losing jobs and opportunities, and every sort of discrimination imaginable. Why would anyone act as though those who are against our equal rights have any legitimacy whatsoever?

I think Morgan's repeated buffoonery is tied to his abysmal ratings. I've attended college football games with more people in the stands than watch him on tv.
