Only kidding Sabanites :) However
No, most of the burden of ridiculousness was placed on the overall-strapped left shoulder of Samuel Contesti, who, as ESPN's Jim Caple unimprovably put it, was representing either Italy or the Clampett family. Dressed like a farm boy while somehow desecrating his harmonica-based musical accompaniment, Contesti was not just aesthetically but culturally offensive. His interpretation of America is grounded in a total ignorance of it, and it strongly implies that Robert Johnson, down at the crossroads, sold his soul not to the devil but to Hee Haw. I wanted to laugh at him when he fell down but could not, being already in stitches.

This guy went to high school with my kids. Guess who I'll be cheering for? :-)
Yay! Evan Lysacek won the gold! Good for him, he deserved it!
WOW just checkingin. That was pretty amazing last night.
That was pretty amazing
I've been listening to all his interviews this morning and he is doing so great. He's been so gracious and humble. Nothing like his Russian competitor who's been arrogant and just down-right rude. He doesn't even appreciate the Silver medal he received, he took it off as soon as he stepped off the podium, as if it was a piece of tin hanging around his neck.
Plushenko is the epitome of the sore loser.
