Democrats Talking About Bobby Jindal Exorcism Again

Ah Deja Vu!!! Here we go again.

This issue has made appearances in Bobby's runs for Governor. However Democrats had to be very careful in this very religious state of how they handled it. Thus the State party stayed away from it for the most part. Of course they then ran a anti Catholic media campaign against him in the Protestant part of the state that then backfired..

It is a very powerful story that Governor Jindal tells. The problem is with this issue, as an Louisiana blogger I talked too personally found out, you better not start quoting that article at length or publish a link to a unauthorized source because New Oxford Review Wants to be Paid for it!!! Thus it is a tad hard for people defending Bobby to show the whole context. In the internet world this become a much bigger problem.

I shall try to update with links on how this was handled in the past in a hour or so.

Update - One of the main Louisiana Catholic bloggers that got on this has deleted their blog. However I talked about an aspect of it here in the past at Bobby Jindal , Exorcisms, and Our Catholic Faith

Update II- Asymmetric Catholic brings up some good points at Bobby Jindal and exorcism

Andrew Sullivan has gotten in the act with an post that has an interesting piece of Canon law at Bobby Jindal: Errant Catholic Exorcist?. I will be curious how Catholics react to this and if they use their faith as a joke to score points. The Problem we again see here. It is not easy to obtain this article in full because you have to pay for it and then cannot quote it huge length on your blog. THe background on what was really a prayer meeting that occured while Bobby was in College and was not started out as an exorcism. I am sure that like most devout Christians in this situation seeing their friend in need that a College age Bobby Jindal was not going to consult a Canon lawyer to see if it was ok if he said the Hail Mary while they were praying over his friend
