I got to to go the Red Mass that was held in Shreveport yesterday. It is always a fine event but this year we enven more blessed with a great guest. That is Cardinal Egan of New York. It is rare we get Cardinals in our neck of the woods.
It was very nice he could come. Several years back Cardinal O'Conner of New York was scheduled to attend but sadly died a few weeks before. Anyway his Homily was great. I was not able to attend the Red Mass Banquet this year but I heard that was great also

There are two photo galleries online that have great pictures of the Church and the Mass. The Red Mass Banquet pictures also have pics of our soon to be new Bishop that was in attendance
Update- Vox Feminae was there and has a post with more detail I suspected she was there singing but sadly I had to rush out because I was already late getting on the road to Northeast Louisiana for business stuff. So sadly I could track down my fellow Louisiana Catholic blogger at the after Mass event across the street :(
