If You Think This Election Is Bad Wait TIll 2012!!!

The Anchoress had a fun and informative little entry called Astrologers and scary Bush. Just wait!! We have seen nothing yet. Wait till 2012!!!

That is the big year. You see more talk of it all over the place. It seems like the history channel seems to be mentioning it in assorted programs all the time. What happens? Well according to the Mayan Calender the whole World is supposed to end or some major EPOCH Earth Changing event will happen on Dec 21 2012.

Goodness even I am a tad nervous. I suspect that there is a U.S. Govt group already working on planning for this day and keeping eye out on extreme groups. If not contained this could cause panic. All in a election year.

I don't think I am being overly dramatic. Let us recall Y2K and how so many people flipped over that. This could that 100 squared.

Hell , I know sane Catholic got got all wrapped up in that 3 days of darkness make sure you have blessed wax candles business a decade or so ago.

When I was a kid there was some scientist that predicted that the New Madrid Fault would go off. This is the fault line that runs near St Louis and Memphis. According to French Explorers that were present hundreds of years ago when it went off the Mississippi River ran backwards. If it went off full force there would be devastation on a wild scale. Memphis and St Louis could be flatten and the Mississippi River could be running through downtown Lafayette Louisiana

Sane average people in North Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tenn, Missouri and Illinois bought tons of earthquake insurance. By Grandparents canceled doctors appointments in Memphis that week.

We very well could have religious hysteria. Just wait. With Iran getting a bomb, terrorism, concerns about climate, all this angst could combine and focus on that one day. Plus we see a huge amount of people with no religious faith. I suspect many will after realizing all their material goods do not satisfy their needs they might flock to cults centered around this date. Remember the people in San Diego that drank the poison kool laid because of the Hale Bopp Comet!!

This Nov will be nothing. However in four years watch out.
