Good Grief. Yes the Alabama minister of Propaganda is at it again. Paul Finebaum is hating up on LSU and Louisiana as a whole no doubt. The last time I posted about Paul Finebaum he was hating on Shreveport and Bossier City Louisiana. Go see "Journalist" Paul Finebaum AKA BAMA Ministry of Propaganda Slams Another Louisiana City . Also before this he called Baton Rouge a toxic waste dump!!!!.I suppose his radio show ratings are low and I also I suppose I am playing his little game. Finebaum is a tad upset because LSU is the big Cheese and also that this past year Saban not only lost to LSU but ULM- MONROE.
I was at the Louisiana Tech Game that night and it was the only time I heard Louisiana Tech fans cheer when a winning ULM score was announced!!! Finebaum should be thankful Louisiana Tech did not play Bama. Perhaps there would have been a glorious Trifecta of Louisiana wins against Bama. Also Finebaum knows just knows that the chances of beating LSU in our house this year well are pretty slim this year.

This should be an absolutely wonderful time for LSU football fans. Another SEC banner is waving outside Tiger Stadium. Another national championship trophy is in the crowded case. Fans should finally be enjoying the fruits of victory. They should be delirious. (we are) .
Instead, the LSU Nation is being embarrassed once again. (WTF) .
For starters, it's been downhill ever since the Tigers put the beat down on Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. A pitiful crowd of 25,000 (Florida had 50,000 the year before) gathered to celebrate LSU's national championship. By most math accounts, even in Louisiana, that's a cool 67,000 fewer people than showed up for Alabama's spring football scrimmage. And they call their program big-time. (Its going Downhill the End is Near!!! What Minister Goebbels does not tell you that the event was live on tv and the weather was GAWD Awful that day we held the celebration.)
Meanwhile, major problems continue to follow LSU's heir apparent at quarterback, Ryan Perrilloux, who is in the headlines more than another proud Louisiana product, Britney Spears. (it is a problem just like Saban seems to have a problem with his players staying out of jail this Spring. Parole Tide!!!! However things are fine and we got Hatch and Lee and RP is coming back)
LSU's recruiting took a hit in 2008 and I'm sure it had to bother fans to watch Alabama -- with Nick Saban at the helm -- take home the No. 1 prize. (Finebaum is not idiot. he knows that LSU was forecast to have a down year in recruiting all last year. The Louisiana Class of 08 players was not as huge talent wise as usual. What Finebaum is concerned about is that the 09 class has been projected the best in years. Also Les has pulled some great early signings already!!!! Oh and Saban could not bag any players from Louisiana this year lets not forget that)
But the story that came out over the weekend further cemented any doubt that LSU fans simply can't enjoy their own success. Apparently, they still have "Nick Envy."
Instead of giving Les Miles the expected raise he is entitled to receive, they gave him $3.75 million. What's remarkable about that? It's $1,000 more than Saban. Of course, it's in his contract that he becomes the highest-paid SEC coach. By giving him the $1,000 on the nose (what's wrong with a few more pennies to look more legit?), LSU comes off looking petty, which shouldn't really be that surprising considering the history of the school.

Our Demons with Nick were pretty much over with after we beat him in the heart of Bama Nation. Also the fact that Saban got beat by ULM and Miss State pretty much reminded LSU fans that Saban does not walk on water. However Finebaum is really stretching here. By Les's contract he had to be the highest paid Coach in the SEC!!! Therefore he had to make more than Saban. I suspect if Les was paid one penny more, one dollar more, one hundred dollars more, or one million more than Saban(who was the highest paid Coach in the SEC) Finebaum would still be saying look look ENVY ENVY ENVY.. Speaking of Bama lets take a trip down memory lane.

So now we are responsible for what Glen Guilbeau writes and the headline he chooses. It is a point of reference. The whole Country was talking about how much Saban was getting paid!! .

Nobody over in Louisiana cares about Saban, right? It sounds more like being on the schoolyard in third grade when some kid pushes another, saying: "My daddy can beat up your daddy."

No how petty is this article. I think Finebaum is worried. Les deserves some kudos. Finebaum as well as Guilbeau played the Les vs Saban angle.
Perhaps What Finebaum is concerned about is not what is happening in LSU land, but perhaps that not only LSU but other teams will not care enough to hate Bama. That must be truly scary.
