Louisiana Tech Loses Against the Aggies and LSU wins Against Duquesne in Sunday Baseball Action

Lots of action with College baseball in Louisiana this weekend. I follow Louisiana Tech and LSU so here we go. First the bad news

Uggg. I was so hoping that Louisiana Tech would win one of the three games down at the tournament at Texas A @ M. As someone commented on the Shreveport Times The Times' Talkin' Baseball blog. at Weekend wrap:

The second week of college baseball is behind us; what did we learn.*
We learned LSU is capable of beating up on weak northern schools' pitching. The Tigers hearkened back to the "Gorilla Ball" days this weekend in a three-game demolition of Duquesne. LSU ripped 13 home runs in the three-game sweep.*

We learned Tech is almost there -- but not quite. Faced with its toughest competition of the young season, the Bulldogs dropped all three games at the Texas A&M tournament. Not the best of signs for Wade Simoneaux's squad, but it remained competitive in all three losses to BCS conference teams.

Well we must move on. We are better and these losses will figure into much more winning this season. Go see the News Star World's Tech’s one-man offense can’t swing past Aggies.

Louisiana Tech stays in the Lone Star State and travels to Waco. They will be playing Baylor Tuesday evening at for 6:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Moving to the positive. LSU pretty much just had a grand weekend against Duquesne. Go see Mainieri Wins No. 900; Baseball Completes Sweep, 12-2. The Advocate has Six HRs lift Tigers to sweep . The very nice Carl Dubois' LSU Baseball Blog has the live blog from yesterday's game an other tidbits at LSU finishes off Duquesne.

The LSU Tigers are up next against Michigan State at home. They will be playing 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, 3 p.m. Wednesday. More info here at On Deck
