I am following NCR's John Allen's coverage of the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering in DC. He has a interesting article here at Social Ministry Day One: Farm workers draw strong Catholic support. I was aware of this what is described in the article. It appears that a a good many workers were picking tomatoes for quite a sub standard wage. They organized and asked Taco Bell to deamnd that the people they buy tomatoes from do certain things. It appears they won. They now have taken the battle to other fast food giants. Interesting read
