I have been wanting to highlight the very interesting post at the Canterbury Tales blog lately. Pretty soon he is going to go into famous Catholic Apologist Scott Hahn's 1995 doctoral dissertation Kinship by Covenant: A Biblical Theological Study of the Covenant Types and Texts in the Old and New Testaments.
However in the meantime he has gone into less intimidating subjects. For instance it appears that Classic TV Biblical movies have got it wrong again. Isaac was not some kid at the time when Abraham took him to Mount Moriah to be sacrificed. He was an adult. Believe or not even Moses with Charleston Heston I think gets some facts wrong.
He has a lot of post lately dealing Abraham , and Noah , and all of salvation history lately at his site.
However this post caught my attention- Cherubim Are Not Fat Babies. It is a good read
He hits on angels in art there. On that note I want to bring attention to Catholics living in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama this incredible exhibit in Jackson Mississippi.. That is Between God and Man - Angels in Italian Art. This exhibit is being curated by Dr. Francesco Buranelli who is the Director General of the Vatican Museums. It will only be in Jackson and no where else in the USA. It will be on exhibit till December 30th, 2007
Sounds fun and I intend to go.
