Bad News If you Want Access to the Extraordinary Form of the Mass In St Augustine Florida

So far this statement from Michigan has been the worst US Bishops reaction to the Pope's MP that I have seen.

So far I think the overall reception of the Holy Father's Summorum Pontificum has been postive.

However this memorandum from Florida gives the above statement of the Bishop from Michigan a run for its money in badness. Father Z interacts with the piece and truly shows how bad it is.

I also would like to point out as a Lawyer by training that Father Z is correct how Canon Law ,which has similar interpretive laws as Louisiana Civil law, is to be interpreted generally. This Bishop is violating that norm. That memorandum is so going against the "spirit of the Document" and in my book the wording it is breathtaking.
