Episcopal Church Bishop After " Welcoming " New San Francisco Archbishop Denied Seat At Installation Mass ?

It appears the Episcopal Church Bishop's "welcome" to the new Archbishop of San Francisco Archbishop that was installed today might have not been very welcome from some points of view.

See Bishop Marc Denied Seating at Archbishop's Installation .

This is developing so I will update this post when we get more of the full story . I also suspect there were activities that have happened in recent weeks that might have contributed to this.

I will have another post giving the full homily of the new Archbishop of San Francisco plus pics and other related items later .

Update- A more full story has come from Archdiocse on this event - Via This Rocco Palmo post

In a response to the Associated Press about the alleged incident, the San Francisco archdiocesan spokesman said that Andrus had arrived at the cathedral only after the ecumenical and interfaith guests – who, by custom, walk at the head of the procession – had begun their entrance into St Mary's, and that the Episcopal bishop was merely asked to wait until he could be seated with the group.

"When [ushers] went to retrieve him," the wire said, Andrus "had already left."

"We had no intention of excluding him at all," the spokesman, George Wesolek, told the AP.

"If he felt like because of the wait that was insulting to him, we certainly will apologize."

This certaintly makes a good bit of sense because if the Archbishop was that upset it would be more likely he would say you not invited anymore.

Update II-

I have been away from the blog today but some housekeeping on this story.
