Wow Caddo Parish Lawyer Killed By Arkansas Police

I am in shock. My Bossier has Vivian attorney, 2nd amendment advocate, killed by law enforcement officers.

I knew John , though it has been a few years since I had regular contact with him, and while he was different he never stuck me as dangerous. I am withholding judgment here but I know enough about him to think this needs to be closely looked at.

  1. Sorry to hear about your friend/colleague. I have noticed through a few libertarian websites that there is an increase in anti-government, but more worringly, anti-police sentiment. Many of them simply hate police officers and think they have too much power, particularly in regards to search and seizure.

I've always thought if you were unhappy with how much power police have, go to the legislature to do something about it. Blaming the cops for doing what the courts allow them to do (provided they are within those confines) is like blaming Vietnam vets for fighting a war they has no part in starting.

I don't know if your friend was that way, but the quote I saw attributed to him reminds me of things I've read on libertarian boards.

  3. Thanks

First let me say John was John. I am not sure he was Libertarian or in that case really that anti Govt. I never got that sense from him. He was a huge advocate of the second amendment.

Let me put it this way he was never involved in some extrmeist groups though. He was just at essence a country lawyer.

The whole thing just seems odd.We have got no reporting in the paper on this for the third day in a row.

Plus I am familiar with this area and I am not trying to down rural law enforcement. Maybe they acted correct here. Still things happen in rural areas that would raise eyebrows. I just want people to look into this
