Les Miles Never Had Clock Issues At Oklahoma State

I thought this was interesting at Les Miles: LSU zaniness not found in Stillwater

Now the article is sort of a contradiction. It says Miles had no clock issues at Oklahoma State but then sort of ends on a note well he has now them now. What is the difference ? Well maybe it is Gary Crowton!! Recall that Miles did not seem to have clock issues his first two years at LSU either.

Now to be fair a lot of people want to include the famous 2007 Auburn game as to the Clock issues problem. I never bought that. First the person running the clock actually let a couple of seconds run off when he should have stopped it. But in the end I think that was much more on Flynn taking his time getting the play off. I am getting more annoyed how history is being rewritten as to that game so to do a dig as to Miles.

As to other issues mentioned to be fair every Coach has some moments when the fan base is baffled. However for whatever reason Miles moments get highlighted.

For instance last nights Nebraska game showed a highlight of last years Texas / Nebraska game. Texas nearly lost going to the National Championship by a severe Clock mismanagement problem. In fact Nebraska was walking on the field thinking they won till the officials made them put one more second on the clock. Yet the Texas Coach gets no grief for that. It is all Les Miles.

Perhaps Miles mannerisms makes him a easy target but one questions if the narrative being spun by the sports media is that correct or fair.
