Will Bobby Jindal Become The Head of the Republican Party

As it Goes in Shreveport has an interesting post at Will Jindal Take Over as Head of RNC?

Ok let me say at least this MIGHT be a tad more realistic than other predictions of Moon Griffon and others that he might run for President. I think Moon just pulls this stuff out of his hat because he does not like Jindal But I agree with the blogger I don't see it as likely.

If he did this I think his political career would be over. I mean we are in a economic disaster down here that got worse with the effects of the BP oil spill. Further the budget choices next year are grim. Bobby would be seen as bailing. People would recall that and I could not see him get elected to anything statewide ever.

On a side note related to the Lt Gov race , I disagree tad with As it Goes that Secretary of State Jay Dardenne (R), is a total liberal RINO.

I have not decided who I am supporting in that race but at this point I am leaning toward JAY because

(1) He has actually done a good job running the Sec of State Office which is a office with a lot of duties and has to be run right. (Sorry I like Sammy Kershaw (R) but I am not sure I am ready for him to be a heart beat away from being Governor)

(2) The Lt Govt job has a lot to do with tourism and if you ever watched Jay do his Louisiana in music act you can tell he would be perfect

(3) Further as a political matter it might be nice to have another Jewish Republican (Southern at that) that might be in a position to move on to bigger things down the road.

I am not endorsing him yet, and yes I want to know more about his position on abortion and other matters, but I am leaning his way. But I can be persuaded to vote for someone else.

  1. I think you will find that a lot of the things you hear about Jay being a liberal RINO, or not pro-life, are misinformation circulated by a past political opponent (and, unfortunately, it seems by a current opponent in his lt. gov. race).

The document that has made the rounds claiming to be the "truth about Jay Dardenne" is actually anything but.
