Legalism Is Too Quick To Find Liturgical Abuse, Making Its Own Liturgical Abuse
There is a good back and forth between him and others in the comment section. I tend to agree with both sides here though I tend to be a much more play bit by the rules guy. I guess I have seen over the decades of how some of these abuses(innovations if you prefer) are used like a hammer to force a theological or political agenda and there was not much the laity could do about it. Plus give Catholics a inch in these matters and they take a mile. The exception becomes the norm.
Update. Henry has another post related to this at The Filioque: “Liturgical Abuse” And Authentic Liturgical Innovation
