Washington Post's Religion Section- We Should Rejoice in the Gore's Divorce

Hmm I don't think I would put it in the terms that Sally Quinn does.

Althouse has "The Gores have handled their decision to separate with dignity and grace. In doing so, they have given us all a great gift..."

  1. I certainly disagree with Sally Quinn. My wife and I were very sad to hear this announcement because we thought the Gores were true old timey Baptists who really believed in marriage. And I don't think there is anything dignified about being deceitful and dishonest. Lori and I are not nearly that agreeable and amicable and we fully intend to stay married until one of us is plumb dead and buried. I'm not impressed with the little skit they put on, and they have not saved any face with me. I admire somebody like that Mrs. Sanford who told the truth about her husband's adultery, and what he put his family through, not to mention the whole state of South Carolina.
